A large-format “Political Club” on Le Figaro TV

To analyze the results of the vote of confidence, the program hosted by Vincent Roux will be broadcast live from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
"We are keeping up with current events, on the occasion of the vote of confidence, with a large-scale 'Political Club'," says Laurence de Charette. Thus, the usual Monday evening political evening on the Figaro channel will be extended by an hour and broadcast live from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The deputy editor of Le Figaro in charge of the audiovisual division adds: " This is an important political event and we will provide a comprehensive analysis of the situation. It will be an opportunity to ask the real questions. It will not be a debate like on the continuous news channels with politicians on set insulting each other. It will not be that at all. We will not be reacting but going deeper . "
To comment on the outcome of the vote of confidence and put it into perspective, Vincent Roux, editor-in-chief of the channel, will host the evening. The panel will include political scientist Arnaud Benedetti and Christophe de Voogd, president of the scientific council of Fondapol. Also present for the debate will be Alexis Brézet, editorial director of Le Figaro, Vincent Trémolet de Villers, deputy editorial director, as well as journalists from the daily newspaper Bertille Bayart, Wally Bordas and Anne de Guigné. Also on hand for the debate will be Judith Waintraub of Figaro Magazine . In addition, political leaders will be speaking via live broadcast.
Skip the ad" We will examine this crisis following the dissolution decided in June 2024. First, we will decipher the vote and draw the first lessons. Who voted for what and why?" confides Vincent Roux. Second, we will consider the consequences of the vote. What are the budgetary, economic, political, and institutional prospects? We will of course discuss, in the event of the very likely overthrow of François Bayrou, who could replace him, and what policy to pursue. We will also look at the polls to consider what an election could yield in the event of the dissolution of the National Assembly ."
The presenter continues: " We will also ask some somewhat provocative questions, such as whether it is possible to carry out the reforms that France needs. Is it possible to challenge a number of practices, particularly in the area of public finances, which have led to the current situation? Our ambition will be to expose the issues with a different perspective from that presented on public channels but also on continuous news channels . "
Starting at noon, in the magazine "Points de vue," dedicated to the confidence vote, Vincent Roux will welcome political scientist Roland Cayrol and Virginie Calmels, president of Croissance Plus. Our reporter Timothée Dhellemmes will be at the National Assembly. " The idea is to interview as many MPs as possible to find out what they are preparing to vote on, and whether the voting instructions will be respected. " The Prime Minister's speech will then be broadcast live on the Figaro website, along with the vote. Then it's time for the large-format "Political Club."
